Cabin Skin Survival Guide: 3 Hydration Helpers for Long Flights
Air travel can make skin feel dry, but your carry-on does not need to become a portable bathroom cabinet.
1. A Familiar Moisturizer
Use a moisturizer you already know your skin tolerates. Applying a comfortable layer before or during a long flight is more predictable than testing a new active at 35,000 feet.
2. Lip Balm
Lips often feel dry quickly in a cabin. A simple balm is compact, easy to reapply and usually more useful than packing several facial mists.
3. A Small Hydrating Product—Only If You Like It
A travel-size serum or mist can be pleasant, but it is optional. If you mist repeatedly, consider following with moisturizer rather than letting every layer evaporate on its own.
What to Skip
Strong peels, unfamiliar sheet masks, aggressive exfoliation and elaborate in-seat routines are unnecessary. The cabin is not the best place to test how reactive your skin can be.
Before landing: moisturize if needed, use sunscreen before daytime exposure, and save the full routine for the hotel.
